Joe Rogan called out the Trump administration over the Epstein case in a blunt, no-nonsense exchange with former CIA covert ops officer Mike Baker on a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. The conversation cut straight to what Rogan sees as a betrayal of Trump’s core promise to “drain the swamp.”
The two were discussing the strange details around Jeffrey Epstein’s death when Rogan brought up a disturbing fact: “Metadata from raw Epstein prison video shows approximately two minutes and 53 seconds were removed from one of the two stitched together clips. The cut starts off at the missing minute.”
“Wow,” Baker said.
“Yeah, shocker,” Rogan replied dryly.
Baker added, “Yeah, yeah. So a guy like that decides, yeah, he’s gonna off himself, again.”
Rogan wasn’t having it. He pointed to the arrogance of government agencies that think people won’t catch on: “They have this mentality that existed before the Internet, where you could just kind of put stuff out there, and you wouldn’t have all these psycho sleuths out there that are gonna go over everything with a fine-tooth comb, especially guys who are tech wizards who can look at the metadata.”
Baker noted that attention spans are short, and some in power are betting that people will forget. “We still have ADHD, right, collectively as a nation, right, and things move on… they’ve called the recess on Capitol Hill because they figured by the time they come back in September, everybody will have moved on from this. I think they are wrong.”
Then he made it clear: “This feels like and just looks like one of those handful of conspiracies, again, you go to JFK or whomever, that’s just gonna hang around.”
That’s when Rogan laid it down: “There’s a line in the sand. This one’s a line in the sand,” he said. “Because this is one where… we thought Trump was gonna come in and a lot of things are gonna be resolved, gonna drain the swamp, gonna figure everything out, and when you have this one hardcore line in the sand that everybody had been talking about forever, and then they’re trying to gaslight you on that…”
He paused, shaking his head.
For Rogan, this case isn’t just about Epstein — it’s about trust. And Trump, in his view, crossed the line.
