A newly released poll conducted by the Dallas Morning News and the University of Texas at Tyler shows Democratic nominee Joe Biden leading President Donald Trump among likely voters in Texas
The poll, released Sunday, showed Biden with the support of 48 percent of likely voters, compared with 45 percent for Trump. The results represent a shift from the same poll in September, when Trump led by 2 percentage points.
One big difference from September is that Biden has expanded his lead among Hispanic voters from 30 percentage points to 48.
Forty percent of those surveyed said they had already voted in the election.
Texas was the most populous state won by Trump in 2016, representing 38 electoral votes. No Democratic presidential candidate has won Texas since Jimmy Carter in 1976.
