Internet Erupts Over New Trump ‘Lucifer’ Photo: ‘Happens Far Too Often to Be Coincidence’

A single photo. That’s all it took to set the internet ablaze.

On Thursday, a new image of President Donald Trump snapped inside the White House Cabinet Room triggered an online explosion—fueled by a visual illusion that some are calling “devilishly perfect.”

The photo, taken during a cabinet meeting with top administration officials, shows Trump seated in front of a golden bald eagle statue with its wings raised high. The precise placement of the eagle behind Trump’s head gave the uncanny appearance of a glowing pair of “devil horns” sprouting from the former president’s skull.

Critics didn’t waste a second.

“Fitting!” posted X user “Madd_Gigi,” a longtime Trump critic with more than 3,100 followers.

The viral image was captured by photojournalist Jim Watson, formerly of the U.S. Navy, and quickly shared by Democratic strategist Keith Edwards with a now-notorious caption: “New picture of Trump with devil horns just dropped.”

From there, the internet did what it does best.

Edwards’ post has racked up nearly 900,000 views, with users from all corners of the political spectrum weighing in. The reactions were as sharp as they were symbolic.

“Biblical,” wrote Adam Cochran, a policy consultant and professor with over 258,000 followers. “Just not in the way MAGA expected.”

Others leaned harder into the satanic undertones.

“Lucifer, bringer of light,” posted X user “Brisologyu,” a crypto-focused account with 6,700+ followers. Meanwhile, another user with the handle “F— You I Quit” bluntly stated: “Photographs that depict Trump with horns happen far too often to be coincidence.” Their post reached more than 450,000 followers.

Some found irony in the timing—just days after South Park returned with a blistering season premiere that depicted Trump literally in bed with Satan.

“It’s the lovechild foretold in South Park,” quipped X user “Ken Akehurst,” referencing the show’s dark satire and drawing a direct line to the viral photo.

But not everyone was laughing. Many users pointed out the obvious double standard in media and political outrage.

“If this was behind Biden ONCE, MAGA would’ve been holding prayer circles daily outside the White House,” wrote “Ari,” a TikTok creator and marketing entrepreneur.

In an era where every frame is scrutinized, dissected, and memed into oblivion, a single statue—probably positioned without much thought—ended up throwing gasoline on America’s ever-raging political fire.

And so, in typical 2025 fashion, the internet declared: Lucifer has logged on.
