Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) didn’t hold back in her scathing critique of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), declaring on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live that Greene might just be the dumbest member of the House.

The tension between Crockett and Greene boiled over during a late-night House hearing last month, and Crockett’s disdain for Greene hasn’t cooled since, as her comments to Kimmel made abundantly clear.

When asked by Kimmel if Greene was indeed “the dumbest person in the House of Representatives,” Crockett didn’t mince words: “I’d be hard-pressed to find someone dumber.”

The late-night host and the Texas congresswoman delved into the chaos that engulfed the hearing, originally convened to discuss Attorney General Merrick Garland and the GOP’s move to hold him in contempt of Congress. Instead, Greene veered off-topic, fixating on Judge Juan Merchan, who oversaw a trial related to Trump’s hush money payments.

“We were supposed to be discussing AG Merrick Garland,” Crockett recounted to Kimmel. “So, now I’m upset ‘cause it’s already late at night, [I’ve] been here all day, ready to work, y’all aren’t here. And you’re still talking about that failed trial. So, I had to ask her if she understood, ‘cause she’s not the brightest.”

Crockett’s blunt assessment underscores the ongoing clash between the two lawmakers. It remains uncertain whether Greene’s contentious approach will yield any substantive outcomes, or merely further inflame the partisan divide in Congress.
