During an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Hunter Biden dismissed Donald Trump Jr as “wildly comical” after the eldest son of former President Donald Trump mocked him for detailing his battle with substance abuse in the new memoir.
In an attempt to troll Hunter Biden, Trump Jr posted on his Instagram stories a picture of a crack pipe, parmesan cheese and a lighter. He did this because, in his new memoir, Biden admitted that he once smoked parmesan cheese since it resembled crack.
Biden, 51, the son of US President Joe Biden, elaborated on this during an interview on CBS’ This Morning earlier in the week, saying: “I spent more times on my hands and knees picking through rugs smoking anything that even remotely resembled crack cocaine.”
“I probably smoked more parmesan cheese than anyone that you know,” he added.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Trump Jr referenced those comments, posting: “Parents don’t let your kids do… Um… Parmesan” and adding: “Watch out for Big Parma,” with the post accompanied by three laughing emojis.
When asked about being mocked by Trump Jr during his interview with Kimmel on Thursday night, Biden revealed that he has “never met” the former president’s son, joking that he has not encountered him, despite having been in “rough places”.
During the interview, Kimmel asked Biden: “Does it make you crazy when you hear someone like Donald Trump Jr say the only reason [you’re able to get away with things] is because you’re a Biden and because of your last name?”
“It is wildly comical – that’s putting it lightly,” Biden replied. “But I don’t spend too much time thinking about it,” he added.
Despite Trump and his children’s repeated attacks on Hunter Biden, often referencing his struggles with addiction, President Biden defended his son during one of the debates for 2020’s presidential election.
“My son, like a lot of people, like a lot of people you know at home, had a drug problem,” Mr Biden said. “He’s overtaken it. He’s fixed it. He’s worked on it, and I’m proud of him. I’m proud of my son.”
