Donald Trump lit a firestorm online Saturday after going on a wild rant about Jeffrey Epstein—and people think he’s panicking.
In a Truth Social post, Trump lashed out at his own supporters for blaming Attorney General Pam Bondi over the recent botched release of the Epstein files. The documents didn’t deliver the explosive material many MAGA fans expected. Instead of confronting what was in the files, Trump pointed fingers at his usual targets—Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and the so-called “deep state.”
“They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!” Trump posted. “We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening. We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and ‘selfish people’ are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein.”
He went further, slamming the files themselves as a hoax: “Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden Administration, who conned the World with the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, 51 ‘Intelligence’ Agents, ‘THE LAPTOP FROM HELL,’ and more?”
That was enough to set social media on fire.
“HOLY SMOKES!” wrote liberal commentator Brian Krassenstein.
“Trump sounds worried,” said political professor Joseph Frusci. “Trump just stooped for Epstein again, claiming the Epstein Files are akin to the ‘FAKE Hillary Clinton/Steele Dossier.’ Then he says the Epstein documents are ‘radical-left inspired,’ and that ‘nobody cares about’ Jeffrey Epstein… MAGA are you seriously ok with this crap?”
Former Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger didn’t hold back: “So Trump is trying to now claim it was a CIA created doc which means, I don’t know, maybe he is in it.”
In a follow-up post, Kinzinger added: “Oh he’s scareeeeeddddd.”
Author Anthony M. Hopper compared Trump’s meltdown to a comic book villain: “Trump sounds like the Joker right before they lock him away in Arkham prison.”
Liberal host Brian Tyler Cohen said, “The irony is that I was actually VERY skeptical about the files or the existence of a client list. After reading this, I’m not skeptical at all.”

Republican strategist Mike Madrid may have summed it up best: “PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN!”
Trump’s furious post did little to calm speculation. Instead, it sent one loud message across the internet: He’s def in those files.
