Prominent conservative attorney George Conway, former husband of ex-White House senior counselor Kellyanne Conway, has sharply criticized former President Donald Trump, labeling him a “decompensating narcissistic sociopath” and asserting that “his brain is fried” in response to Trump’s recent bizarre claims about crowd sizes.
Conway’s comments followed Trump’s unfounded assertion that Vice President Kamala Harris’s crowds were fabricated and generated by artificial intelligence.
In a discussion on MSNBC, Conway was asked about the implications of Trump’s latest conspiracy theory on his standing in the upcoming election. Conway responded bluntly, saying, “He is a decompensating narcissistic sociopath. He’s a very unwell person. I’ve been saying this for years.”
Conway elaborated, citing the diagnostic criteria for narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder from the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. “If you look at the criteria, Trump fits every single one of them as if the criteria were made to describe him.”
He continued, “We’ve been observing this for seven years. These types of individuals often become cult leaders or authoritarian dictators. When they push beyond their limits, they destroy themselves. At the point of no return, they can become delusional or even psychotic.”
Conway pointed to Trump’s recent tweet as evidence of what he described as “the final collapse of Donald Trump’s mental state.” He noted that tens of thousands of people were present, with hundreds documenting the event. To suggest otherwise is just absurd.
“He’s done. His brain is fried,” he concluded.
