‘He Lost’: Legal Analyst Says Trump Should Be ‘Scared’ As SCOTUS Ruling Could Reveal His Taxes Before Election

MSNBC legal analyst Neal Katyal said on Thursday that Donald Trump has nothing to celebrate about after the Supreme Court’s ruling that New York prosecutors can subpoena his tax returns.

“Trump shouldn’t be happy about this,” he said. “The fact is, he lost. He lost resoundingly, 7-2, including his own appointees to the court, Kavanaugh and Gorsuch.”

Katyal went on to explain that it’s inevitable that Trump can continue hiding his tax returns and they’ll likely be released before the 2020 election.

“He now possibly can delay this until after election day,” Katyal acknowledged. “But I think that’s doubtful… it’s a paper-thin shield, at best. And so I think it’s totally possible for all this to come out before the 2020 election.”

The bottom line, said Katyal, is that “if I’m Donald Trump, I’m scared right now.”
