Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday threw a fit of rage over the news that Micheal Sussmann, a lawyer who represented Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, was found not guilty of lying to the FBI when he informed the bureau of Trump’s ties with Russia.
After a two-week trial, and more than a day of deliberations, the jury found that William Barr-appointed Special Counsel John Durham did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Sussmann’s statement was a lie when he brought two thumb drives and a white paper alleging a Trump-Russia connection.
Trump, who has long claimed the Russia probe was part of a politically motivated “deep state” attempt to undermine his first presidential campaign, took to his social media platform to express his outrage about the verdict.
“Our Legal System is CORRUPT, our Judges (and Justices!) are highly partisan, compromised or just plain scared, our Borders are OPEN, our Elections are Rigged, Inflation is RAMPANT, gas prices and food costs are “through the roof,” our Military “Leadership” is Woke, our Country is going to HELL, and Michael Sussmann is not guilty,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
