A Georgia special grand jury investigating potential criminal interference in Georgia’s 2020 elections has subpoenaed Sen. Lindsey Graham, Rudy Giuliani and several key members of former President Donald Trump’s legal team, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Tuesday, citing court documents.

According to the report, the subpoenas were filed Tuesday and signed off by Fulton Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney, who is overseeing the grand jury and must approve summons for individuals who live out of state. Other individuals subpoenaed include John Eastman, Cleta Mitchell, Kenneth Chesbro and Jenna Ellis.

As noted by the Journal-Constitution, ‘The 23-person special grand jury has heard testimony in recent weeks from a parade of witnesses, including some who had direct contact with Trump and his associates” as they attempted to undo Trump’s loss in the state.

Some Trump allies, namely Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan and ex-state Sen. William Ligon, are trying to fight the subpoenas, claiming “immunity.” But Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis argued in a recent court filing that seeking to reverse election results were not protected by legislative immunity.
