Far-Right members of Congress and supporters of former president Donald Trump are celebrating Kyle Rittenhouse being found not guilty on all five charges for killing two people and injuring a third one in Kenosha.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who earlier in the week said he was considering hiring Rittenhouse as a congressional intern, was one of the first to celebrate. “NOT GUILTY!!!!!!!” he tweeted.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) followed up, tweeting: “ACQUITTED on ALL charges!” before adding: “May Kyle and his family now live in peace. Those who help, protect, and defend are the good guys. Kyle is one of good ones.”

Rep. Paul Gosar, who was censured this week for tweeting an anime video depicting him killing Democratic congresswoman Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, said he’d arm-wrestle Gaetz for the opportunity to have Rittenhouse intern for him.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) tweeted: “Joe Biden needs to publicly apologize to Kyle Rittenhouse.”

Meanwhile, Donald Trump Jr wrote: “The Rittenhouse jury just gave Biden his second colonoscopy of the day,” in reference to Biden undergoing a routine colonoscopy earlier in the day.

Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) also celebrated the verdict.

“ACQUITTED ON ALL CHARGES,” he tweeted.
