Donald Trump has received backlash from both sides of the political spectrum following the attack by his supporters at the U.S. Capitol. Many have called on him to resign or for his impeachment.

On Saturday, Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) told Fox News that he believes the president committed impeachable offenses.

“I do think the president committed an impeachable offenses, but I don’t know what is going to land on the Senate floor, if anything,” Toomey said.

Toomey’s comments come a day after Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) became the first Republican to publicly call on Trump to resign. She also threatened to leave the GOP over their devotion to Trump.
