Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is calling out the Trump administration over its handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, accusing officials of deliberate delays and a full-on cover-up.
In a new interview released Tuesday from Berlin with the BBC, Clinton blasted Attorney General Pam Bondi for failing to release the documents in full, despite her claim of fulfilling obligations under the Epstein Transparency Act.
“What we’re seeing, I think it’s fair to say, is a continuing cover-up by the Trump administration,” Clinton said. “There’s something about this administration’s attitude toward this which I think really leads us to conclude they have something to hide.”
She was emphatic that the Clintons themselves have nothing to hide. Both she and former President Bill Clinton have agreed to sit for depositions with the House Oversight Committee regarding their ties to Epstein.
“We don’t,” she said.
Clinton stressed the depositions should be public, explaining, “We think sunlight is the best disinfectant.” She didn’t hold back in calling out the administration’s slow pace and opaque handling of the documents.
“Get the files out. They are slow walking it. They are redacting the names of men who are in it. They are stonewalling legitimate requests from members of Congress that has nothing to do with us. Something is going on. They know it. I know it,” she said.
Her comments add fuel to a growing chorus of critics accusing Trump’s DOJ of secrecy, obstruction, and protecting high-profile names tied to Epstein.
Transparency advocates have been pushing for full disclosure for months, arguing that redactions and delays serve only to shield powerful individuals. Clinton’s sharp condemnation makes it clear she believes the administration is deliberately dragging its feet.
The demand is simple, she said: “Get the files out.”
