Former Fox Host Sounds Alarm on Trump’s Election Moves: ‘Huge Red Flags’ Ahead of Midterms

A former Fox News host is sounding the alarm — loudly — over what she says are deeply troubling warning signs coming straight from Donald Trump as the country heads toward the next round of elections.

Gretchen Carlson, who left Fox News in 2016, appeared Monday on CNN’s OutFront with Erin Burnett and didn’t sugarcoat what she’s seeing. According to Carlson, recent reporting and actions tied to Trump point to something far more serious than political noise.

At the center of her concern is a New York Times report revealing that Trump personally called FBI agents who were on the ground during a raid of the Fulton County, Georgia, election office last week. Carlson said the reporting immediately caught her attention — not just because of the call itself, but because of what she described as a “rah-rah” tone Trump allegedly used with federal agents during the operation.

That alone raised eyebrows. But Carlson said it doesn’t stand alone.

“You remember that Pam Bondi, the attorney general, in a letter to the Minnesota officials last week, said, ‘If you just hand over your voter records to me, maybe I will go away,’” Carlson said. “Those are huge red flags to me that something is going on with the midterm elections.”

Last week, Trump’s FBI raided the Fulton County election office and seized all materials — both physical and digital — related to the 2020 general election. The raid came despite the fact that Trump has already lost more than 60 court cases challenging the outcome of that election.

And yet, Trump continues to insist he won.

That claim has followed him for years, even as courts, election officials, and his own former allies have rejected it repeatedly. Carlson’s warning taps into that history — especially when viewed alongside Trump’s past behavior in Georgia.

Trump notoriously called Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and demanded he “find” 11,780 votes to overturn Joe Biden’s victory in the state. The call was recorded, and its contents raised serious questions about whether Trump genuinely believed he won the election or was simply trying to force the outcome he wanted.

Carlson stopped short of accusing Trump of a crime, but said the warning signs are already flashing.
