Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) sparked a slush of ridicule over the weekend after he fired off a poorly written tweet announcing his re-election campaign, which critics say proves once again that there are few men more qualified than Gaetz to embarrass the Sunshine State.
“It’s chose your fighter time,” Gaetz tweeted on Saturday with a link to a Northwest Florida Daily News article. “I’m you’re [sic] Florida Man!”
And with that, mockery ensued.
“Nine words. NINE. And you still spelled two of them wrong,” one Twitter user wrote.
“I don’t think Matt Gaetz calling himself “Florida Man” is hitting the way he thought it would. He typed 9 words and misspelled 2 of them. Florida, you could do miso much better,” another one replied.

The story you shared literally spelled out your entire tweet for you, and somehow you still messed up the spelling. https://t.co/uNV3acFol5 pic.twitter.com/RNT1S57C6y
