A Florida man found himself behind bars after a heated argument with his sister culminated in him launching pieces of fried chicken at her.

Khanye Edrayieze Medley, aged 20, was apprehended by Clearwater Police following the poultry-based altercation, according to jail records. Allegedly, Medley didn’t chicken out when things got heated; instead, he opted to pelt his sister with chicken pieces at his sister’s back.

The incident unfolded at their shared residence in Clearwater, where an argument between the siblings escalated into a physical confrontation, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by The Smoking Gun.

Living under the same roof in Clearwater, the siblings’ verbal spat reportedly reached its climax when Medley, in a fit of frustration, grabbed a bag of chicken—possibly from a nearby Church’s Texas Chicken joint—and aimed it squarely at his sister.

One piece of the fried chicken struck the victim’s back, leaving food debris on her shoulders, the affidavit alleges.

During police questioning, Medley confessed to throwing two pieces of chicken at his sister, one of which made contact with her. He cited hunger and dissatisfaction with the offered chicken as the reasons behind his actions.

Following his arrest, Medley was released from Pinellas County Jail on recognizance the next day.

Curiously, this incident isn’t an isolated one involving food in Pinellas County this week. Another individual, Nolan Goins, 46, was arrested for a misdemeanor of simple battery after allegedly hurling pasta with sauce at another driver during a road rage episode sparked by “glaring headlights.”

During the altercation, Goins purportedly flung pasta from his vehicle, striking the other driver on the arm, legs, and torso. Although the victim sustained no injuries, Goins was arrested and later released on a $1,000 bond.
