FBI leadership is reportedly in chaos over Attorney General Pam Bondi’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case, with two top officials said to be “disgusted” by her actions. Laura Loomer, a MAGA activist with close ties to President Donald Trump, claims FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino are furious with Bondi for mishandling the Epstein files.

In a post on social media Friday morning, Loomer stated: “[Patel and Bongino] are LIVID with [Bondi] over her DOJ Memo and the lack of transparency from her office regarding the Jeffrey Epstein files.” She also revealed that Bongino had taken the day off from his duties at the FBI, with rumors swirling about whether he would resign over his frustration with Bondi’s lack of transparency.

Loomer’s claim was later confirmed by Axios, which reported that administration sources had made it clear Bongino was still on the job. However, Axios added that Bongino was deeply upset with Bondi for publicly overpromising a “client list” tied to Epstein — a list that, according to the DOJ and FBI, did not exist.

Bondi had previously claimed she had an Epstein “client list” on her desk, leading to rampant speculation and conspiracy theories. Both Patel and Bongino, along with Vice President JD Vance, had stoked these rumors, feeding into the expectation of major revelations that never materialized.

The DOJ and FBI’s recent memo put an end to those hopes, stating there was no evidence Epstein maintained such a list. The memo fueled further anger from Loomer, who didn’t hold back in her criticism.

“Pam Blondi has brought total embarrassment to President Trump, @JDVance, @dbongino and @Kash_Patel,” Loomer posted. “She has also LIED to the American people. I’m told Kash and Bongino are furious with Blondi and the blowback she has caused them with her lack of transparency. Kash Patel and Dan Bongino should call for Blondi’s public resignation today to save themselves and to also push for full transparency into the Epstein files. This is an issue the American people care deeply about.”

Loomer went even further, urging Trump to fire Bondi. “Someone needs to be fired for this,” she posted. “Giving Blondi courtesy to resign is more than she deserves. Trump should just FIRE her.”

Despite Loomer’s claims of a rift between the FBI and DOJ, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche issued a statement defending the handling of the Epstein case. “I worked closely with @FBIDirectorKash and @FBIDDBongino on the joint FBI and DOJ memo regarding the Epstein Files,” Blanche wrote on Twitter. “All of us signed off on the contents of the memo and the conclusions stated in the memo. The suggestion by anyone that there was any daylight between the FBI and DOJ leadership on this memo’s composition and release is patently false.”

While Blanche’s statement sought to downplay any internal conflict, Loomer’s accusations have already sparked a heated debate. Her post has gone viral, drawing attention to the ongoing Epstein controversy and raising questions about Bondi’s handling of the case.

“If the president who used to hang out with Jeffrey Epstein fires the attorney general who didn’t prosecute him in Florida over her handling of files about the case, we’re going to need some congressional hearings about this,” tweeted Matthew Gertz, a senior fellow at Media Matters.
