The family of Virginia Giuffre, one of Jeffrey Epstein’s most outspoken victims, is calling out the Department of Justice and slamming Ghislaine Maxwell’s recent interview, accusing her of trying to rewrite history.
In a new report by journalist Aaron Parnas, the Giuffre family responded directly to the release of Maxwell’s interview transcript, saying it flies in the face of her conviction for trafficking minors.
“As the family of one of the most prominent survivors, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, we are outraged. The content of these transcripts is in direct contradiction with felon Ghislaine Maxwell’s conviction for child sex trafficking,” the family said in a statement.
Maxwell, who was convicted in 2021 for recruiting and grooming underage girls for Epstein, gave a recent interview to Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. But the Giuffre family says Blanche failed to hold her accountable for anything—especially her “court-proven lies.”
“During DAG Todd Blanche’s bizarre interview, she is never challenged about her court-proven lies, providing her a platform to rewrite history. This travesty of justice entirely invalidates the experiences of the many brave survivors who put their safety, security, and lives on the line to ensure her conviction, including our sister,” the statement continued.
The family didn’t stop there. They also blasted Maxwell’s transfer to a minimum-security prison, calling it a “country club” and warning it sends a dangerous message: that people who traffic children might ultimately get a slap on the wrist.
“This travesty of justice entirely invalidates the experiences of the many brave survivors…”
The outrage comes as new pressure mounts on the Department of Justice and lawmakers to release still-sealed Epstein documents and investigate others involved. Parnas reports that a Democratic lawmaker has accused the Trump administration—and some Republican allies—of continuing to withhold key files.
The Giuffre family is demanding real accountability:
“The Department of Justice serves the people of the United States. We continue to call upon the DOJ to do its job by investigating and holding accountable the many rich and powerful people who enabled Ghislaine Maxwell’s and Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.”
Parnas summed it up clearly: Epstein didn’t act alone. Survivors, their families, and the public are still waiting for names, answers, and justice. And for the Giuffre family, the fight isn’t over.
