Elon Musk has dissolved Twitter’s board and made himself the “sole director” of the company, multiple outlets reported Monday citing a new filing.
As noted by The Independent, “the board had previously been made up of nine directors, including ousted chief executive Parag Agrawal.” All of them have been removed from that role, leaving only the Tesla and SpaceX owner as director.
The move is just one of a number of substantial changes that Musk has already made, within days of buying and taking over the company.
Other actions include the suggestion that he will set up a council that will review content moderation decisions, that he will be firing a significant number of employees, and that he could allow previously banned users back onto the platform.
