Elon Musk came out swinging on Monday, accusing Trump Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice of hiding the truth about Jeffrey Epstein—and even suggested the newly released video of Epstein’s jail cell could be fake.
Musk mocked the DOJ and FBI on X after they claimed there’s no client list and no more charges coming in the Epstein case. He didn’t hold back, calling out Bondi with a meme showing someone putting on clown makeup step-by-step. The final image reads: “There is no Epstein list.”
This comes just weeks after Musk shocked many by saying Trump was on Epstein’s list himself. “Time to drop the big bomb,” he posted in June, as tensions between Musk and Trump exploded over the budget deal.
Now, the DOJ says the video proves Epstein died by suicide in a Manhattan jail while awaiting trial for sex trafficking. But Musk isn’t buying it.
“AI video generation is advancing at the speed of light,” Musk posted on X, casting doubt on the authenticity of the footage.
In another post, Musk wrote: “What’s the time? Oh look, it’s no-one-has-been-arrested-o’clock again,” next to a fake graphic showing an Epstein “pedophile arrest counter” stuck at zero.
Musk also posted a brutal meme aimed at Bondi, showing a man putting on clown makeup in stages. Each stage represents a different quote or belief about the Epstein case:
First panel: “We will release the Epstein list.”
Second panel: “We just need more time.”
Third panel: “The Epstein list is on my desk.”
Final panel (fully made-up clown): “There is no Epstein list.”
The message: Musk thinks the public has been played.

Back in February, Bondi told Fox News, “It’s sitting on my desk right now to review,” referring to the alleged Epstein client list. But now her DOJ is saying that no such list exists—and that no arrests are coming.
MAGA supporters who once trusted Bondi are furious. Many believed the Epstein case would expose powerful figures. Instead, the DOJ announced that the investigation is effectively over, and only Ghislaine Maxwell—Epstein’s longtime associate—is behind bars. She’s serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking.
Musk is going after Trump’s DOJ, calling out what he sees as lies, cover-ups, and fake videos. And he’s not holding back.
