President Donald Trump lashed out at the FBI for investigating videos of a caravan of his supporters surrounding and harassing a Biden campaign bus on a Texas highway Friday.
“In my opinion, these patriots did nothing wrong. Instead, the FBI & Justice should be investigating the terrorists, anarchists, and agitators of ANTIFA, who run around burning down our Democrat run cities and hurting our people!” the president tweeted.
Videos of the incident show a caravan of vehicles displaying pro-Trump flags surrounding a Biden campaign bus on Interstate 35 in Texas Friday, yelling obscenities and trying to run it off the road. A video posted to Twitter shows a truck hitting a car of a Biden campaign staffer as it follows the Biden bus.
“FBI San Antonio is aware of the incident and investigating,” a spokesperson for the FBI said Sunday afternoon.
The Biden campaign harshly condemned the events that occurred Friday, which they said amounted to supporters of the president attempting to run Biden campaign volunteers off the road.
“Rather than engage in productive conversation about the drastically different visions that Joe Biden and Donald Trump have for our country, Trump supporters in Texas today instead decided to put our staff, surrogates, supporters, and others in harm’s way,” said the campaign’s Texas communications director.
Trump posted a video of the incident on Saturday and cheered his supporters, writing: “I love Texas!”
He also told a rally in Michigan that “they were protecting [Biden’s] bus yesterday — because they are nice. They had hundreds of cars.”

This is a traffic violation and attempted homicide. Why hasn’t anyone been arrested? pic.twitter.com/QnfF4vXMQn
