President Donald Trump is facing intense backlash after sharing an AI-generated video that imagines his vision for rebuilding the war-torn Gaza Strip. The 33-second clip, posted on Truth Social, shows a future where the devastation of Gaza is replaced by luxurious beachfront skyscrapers and a golden statue of Trump. The video also features bizarre scenes, including trans belly dancers and children holding Trump-shaped gold balloons.

The video begins with footage of Gaza in ruins after months of bombings. The text on the screen reads, “Gaza 2025 — What’s next?” It then shifts to show what looks like Elon Musk enjoying a meal and laughing, with people dancing around him. The song in the background repeats, “No more tunnels, no more fear, Trump Gaza is finally here. Trump Gaza shining bright, golden future, brand new light.”

It also features images of luxury hotels and money flying in the air, as well as a building labeled “Trump Gaza.” Toward the end, the video shows Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu drinking in the sun, shirtless.

The video comes as Trump has repeatedly suggested that the U.S. should take responsibility for Gaza, which is controlled by Hamas, and turn it into a “Riviera of the Middle East.” He has also proposed relocating Palestinians once the war ends.

Trump’s post sparked outrage on social media. Journalist Aaron Rupar called it “complete batshit lunacy,” while many others found it offensive. One user asked, “How is Trump’s AI post about Gaza even morally OK? It’s disturbing to entertain a situation that refers to the ethnic cleansing of a population.” Another user wrote, “We’re living in the worst timeline.”

Questions about the bizarre imagery were also raised, with one person asking, “Why’s he got trans belly dancers halfway through?” Many were left shocked, with one commenter saying, “I used to say nothing surprises me anymore, but I stand corrected.”

The video has ignited strong reactions, with critics condemning its strange and inappropriate portrayal of Gaza’s future.
