CNN Uncovers Second Video Of Lauren Boebert Disparaging Rep. Ilhan Omar As a ‘Black-Hearted Terrorist’

A second video has emerged showing GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado suggesting to a crowd that Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota was a terrorist. The new video was uncovered Tuesday by CNN’s KFile.

Boebert was filmed in September telling a near-identical story to the one she told over Thanksgiving weekend about riding in a Capitol Hill elevator with Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and being glad the Somali-American immigrant isn’t carrying a backpack.

Just as she did in a video filmed in November, Boebert said she only felt safe being on the elevator in Omar’s presence because the congresswoman was not wearing a backpack, implying Omar was a threat to set off an explosive device.

“One of my I staffers, on his first day with me, got into an elevator in the Capitol. And in that elevator, we were joined by Ilhan Omar,” Boebert told a crowd of supporters in September. “It was just us three in there and I looked over and I said, well, lookey there, it’s the Jihad Squad.”

“She doesn’t have a backpack, she wasn’t dropping it and running so we’re good,” Boebert said in the video as her supporters laughed and applauded.

Additionally, at the September event, Boebert also disparaged Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Minnesota, another Muslim member of Congress.

“Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib. These are just black-hearted evil women,” Boebert said in the video.

Despite bipartisan calls asking Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) to take action against Boebert, the Republican House minority leader has declined to publicly condemn the congresswoman’s remarks, saying “she has apologized for what she said.”
