A man named Abraham Diaw has filed a lawsuit against Chris Brown, alleging that the singer assaulted him at a London nightclub, resulting in injuries that required hospitalization. According to TMZ, Diaw claims that Brown struck him on the head with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila at Tape London in February. The incident reportedly occurred during Brown’s U.K. tour, Under the Influence.

Diaw contends that after sustaining severe blows to the head, he lost consciousness and alleges that Brown continued to kick him while he was on the floor. The lawsuit states that Diaw suffered injuries, including torn ligaments in his leg and cuts to his head, with potential permanent damage. Diaw is seeking damages, citing emotional distress and trauma.

Chris Brown, 34, has been a controversial figure due to various accusations of violence, including the infamous 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna. Brown was denied entry to the U.K. in 2010 but had the ban lifted in 2020.

Abraham Diaw, a music producer, claims a seven-year acquaintance with Brown and anticipated a friendly greeting when approaching him. Diaw alleges that there is surveillance footage of the incident in police possession.

In an April interview with The Sun, Diaw detailed the alleged attack, stating that Brown hit him multiple times over the head, causing his knee to collapse. Diaw has spoken to the police, and the matter is in the hands of his solicitor.

Brown’s representatives stated that he planned to visit a police station after concluding his U.K. tour. According to the Daily Mail, the Metropolitan Police reported that two men were scheduled for a voluntary interview on March 29 but did not attend, and inquiries are ongoing.

Chris Brown’s controversial history includes a restraining order from ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran in 2017 and accusations of rape in Paris in 2019, for which he was released without charges. Brown faced another lawsuit in 2022, alleging drugging and rape, but the accuser was dropped by her legal representation after complicating text messages surfaced. Brown responded to these allegations on Instagram, vowing legal action and decrying the impact on his life.
