Attorney General William Barr appeared before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday to answer questions from lawmakers on both sides of the isle. When asked about Donald Trump’s decision to commute Roger Stone’s sentence, Barr claimed that the president was justified to do so.
According to Barr, Trump’s actions were justified because Stone was merely guilty of “an esoteric made-up crime,” not “a meat and potatoes crime.”
