Biden Receiving Majority Vote Of People Who Voted Third Party In 2016, Poll Shows

Ron Delancer

In 2016, millions of American voters were unhappy with the two candidates that both major parties had to offer as presidential candidates – so much so that they didn’t vote for either of them. Now, according to new data, the majority of those Americans who voted for a third party in 2016 have vowed to vote for Joe Biden in this year’s election.

Between October 16-18, Morning Consult Political Intelligence surveyed 359 likely voters who opted for candidates other than Trump or Hillary Clinton in 2016 and found that 53% are supporting Biden in this year’s election, while just 21% are backing Trump.
