A new batch of private emails from Jeffrey Epstein suggests that the disgraced financier believed he had compromising information about Donald Trump — and that he wasn’t afraid to talk about it.

The messages, released Wednesday by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, cover years of correspondence from 2011 to 2019. They include exchanges between Epstein, his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell, and author Michael Wolff.

In one of the most striking emails, Epstein claimed that Trump “knew about the girls” and “spent hours at my house” with a trafficking victim. The messages were written long before Epstein’s 2019 death in federal custody, which was ruled a suicide.

In an April 2011 email to Maxwell, Epstein pointedly referred to Trump as “that dog that hasn’t barked.”

“i want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump…[VICTIM] spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned. police chief. etc. im 75% there,” he wrote.

Another message from January 2019 — months before Epstein’s death — showed him writing to Wolff about Trump’s connections to his social circle.

“[VICTIM] maralago [REDACTED] trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever. . of course he knew about the girls as he asked ghislane to stop.”

In a separate 2015 exchange, Wolff told Epstein that CNN planned to ask Trump about his relationship with him. Epstein seemed to consider how Trump should respond, to which Wolff suggested,

“I think you should let him hang himself… You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt.”

By early 2019, Epstein’s tone toward Trump had turned darker.

“you see , i know how dirty donald is,” he wrote in one exchange discussing Trump’s legal exposure and business dealings.

While Trump has not been accused of any wrongdoing, the correspondence paints a picture of Epstein as someone who believed he held damaging information about one of the most powerful men in the country — information he may have intended to use.

The release of the emails coincided with the swearing-in of Arizona Rep. Adelita Grijalva, giving Democrats the final signature needed on a petition to force a full vote to unseal the rest of the Epstein files.

Whether those documents confirm Epstein’s claims remains unknown. But the messages leave little doubt that, in the years leading up to his death, Jeffrey Epstein believed he had dirt on Donald Trump — and knew exactly how explosive that was.

As previously reported by The Daily Boulder, Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his jail cell in August 2019, just weeks after his arrest on serious sex-trafficking charges. His death, officially ruled a suicide, occurred during Donald Trump’s presidency under the supervision of then-Attorney General Bill Barr. The circumstances surrounding his death were highly irregular: cameras reportedly malfunctioned the night he died, and prison staff failed to provide proper monitoring.

These irregularities have only fueled speculation, with many questioning whether Epstein was deliberately silenced to protect powerful figures, including Trump.
