AUDIO: Trump Tries to Distance Himself From Epstein, Incriminates Himself Instead

Trump says Epstein poached underage spa worker Virginia Giuffre from Mar-a-Lago. Now he’s tied to her case.

President Donald Trump may have tried to distance himself from Jeffrey Epstein — but in doing so, he gave up more than he intended.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump explained why he cut ties with Epstein. According to him, the fallout started when Epstein repeatedly hired away spa workers from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. One of those workers, Trump admitted, was Virginia Giuffre — who was just 17 at the time.

“He took people that work for me, and I told him, don’t do it any more. And he did it. I said, stay the hell out of here,” Trump said.

Pressed on whether Giuffre was one of them, he said: “I think she worked at the spa. I think so. I think that was one of the people, yeah, he stole her.”

Giuffre later became one of Epstein’s most well-known victims. She was groomed and trafficked by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell after meeting them at Mar-a-Lago in 2000. Maxwell offered her a job interview for massage training. What followed was years of abuse.

Trump told reporters he warned Epstein to stop poaching his employees — but Epstein did it again.

“I told him, I said, listen, we don’t want you taking our people, whether it was spa or not spa,” Trump said. “And he was fine. And then, not too long after that, he did it again. And I said, out of here.”

Despite openly stating that Giuffre was one of the “people” Epstein “stole” from his spa, Trump added: “She had no complaints about us, as you know, none whatsoever.”

Giuffre, who died by “suicide” earlier this year at age 41, had repeatedly said she was recruited at Mar-a-Lago.

Trump’s latest account contradicts earlier statements. In the past, he said he cut off Epstein because he was a “creep” — pointing to Epstein’s 2009 conviction for soliciting sex from a minor. He’s also repeatedly claimed he had no knowledge of Epstein’s abuse and denied any ties to Epstein’s inner circle.

But Trump’s own words suggest he knew Epstein was targeting young women from his club — and that one of them was a teenager.

Trump’s comments come as pressure mounts over the unreleased Epstein case files. His administration has faced growing demands to declassify documents tied to Epstein and Maxwell. In response, Trump has accused his political opponents of inflating the issue.

“It’s a hoax that’s been built up way beyond proportion,” Trump said. “Those files were run by the worst scum on earth. They were run by Comey, they were run by Garland, they were run by Biden.”

He also tried to defend himself against reports that he had closer ties to Epstein than he’s admitted. Trump claimed he turned down an invite to Epstein’s island, calling it “one of my very good moments.”

“I never had the privilege of going to his island, and I did turn it down,” he said. “A lot of people in Palm Beach were invited to his island. I turned it down. I didn’t want to go to his island.”

Trump has also filed a lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal over a report claiming he sent Epstein a “bawdy” birthday card. He called the report “false and defamatory.”

But the more Trump talks, the more questions arise — and his own words keep pulling him closer to the very man he’s trying to forget.
