A group of armed demonstrators gathered in Brandenburg, Kentucky on Friday to protect a Confederate monument after local discussion of getting rid of it, according to local reporter Jessie Cohen.
In a series of tweets, Cohen posted images of the pro-Confederate demonstrators, many of whom arrived with weapons and dressed in military fatigue at the small city west of Louisville.
