AOC Slams Ted Cruz For Trying To Get Her Killed: ‘If You Want To Help, You Can Resign’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) took to Twitter on Thursday to called out the app Robinhood over its decision to block retail investors from purchasing stocks while allowing hedge funds to freely trade.

“This is unacceptable,” AOC tweeted. “We now need to know more about @RobinhoodApp’s decision to block retail investors from purchasing stock while hedge funds are freely able to trade the stock as they see fit. As a member of the Financial Services Cmte, I’d support a hearing if necessary.”

Republican Senator Ted Cruz, who has been one of Ocasio-Cortez’s biggest critics, agreed with the Democratic congresswoman.

But Ocasio-Cortez did not appear to want Cruz’s approval. In fact, she called him out for “trying to get [her] killed.”

“I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground, but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out,” she wrote in response to Cruz. “Happy to work w/ almost any other GOP that aren’t trying to get me killed. In the meantime if you want to help, you can resign.”
