Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has come under scrutiny for his alleged connections to extremist MAGA views. According to a new report, another flag associated with the January 6 rioters was observed flying outside Justice Alito’s New Jersey beach home multiple times last year.

The flag in question is the “Appeal to Heaven” flag, also known as the “Pine Tree flag,” which has historical significance dating back to the Revolutionary War. This flag was prominently carried by rioters during the pro-Trump attack on the US Capitol in 2021.

This revelation adds to previous concerns raised by reports from The New York Times, which detailed an incident where a flagpole on Justice Alito’s property in Virginia displayed an upside-down Stars-and-Stripes in late 2020 and early 2021. This action coincided with the aftermath of Joe Biden’s inauguration and occurred during the height of Trump’s “Stop The Steal” campaign, which baselessly alleged election fraud.

These sightings of the “Appeal to Heaven” flag and the inverted US flag outside properties linked to Justice Alito raise questions about his alignment with extremist ideologies associated with the MAGA movement.

The ‘Appeal to Heaven’ flag, a symbol deeply intertwined with the Jan 6 attack on the US Capitol, was reportedly flown outside Justice Alito’s New Jersey property over the summer of 2023.
