Trump Gives Absurd Excuse For Posting Himself as Christ

After sparking outrage for sharing an AI image portraying himself as Jesus, Donald Trump is now offering an explanation that’s raising even more eyebrows.

According to Trump, the now-deleted image wasn’t meant to depict him as a Christ-like figure at all.

“It’s supposed to be me as a doctor making people better,” he told reporters — a claim that quickly drew disbelief given the imagery.

The post, which appeared on Truth Social before being quietly deleted, showed Trump bathed in divine light, placing his hands on a man in a hospital bed as if performing a miracle. The patient bore a resemblance to Jeffrey Epstein, while the scene was packed with symbolic visuals — including bald eagles, the U.S. flag, and other patriotic backdrops.

Also visible were a nurse, a soldier, and a praying woman — along with darker, demonic elements that only added to the confusion.

The reaction was immediate — and brutal.

Even Trump’s own supporters recoiled, with some calling the image outright “blasphemy.”

Conservative voices like Riley Gaines openly questioned what Trump was thinking, while others within MAGA circles warned the post crossed a line.

“This is gross blasphemy. Faith is not a prop,” wrote Brilyn Hollyhand, a young conservative influencer.

Right-wing commentator Isabel Brown called the image “disgusting and unacceptable,” while longtime critic Hillary Clinton piled on, saying Trump has become “fully unhinged.”

Faced with the backlash, the post disappeared within hours.

But instead of backing down, Trump shifted blame — accusing the media of overreacting and insisting the image was misunderstood. He pointed to the presence of a nurse in the scene as evidence it was meant to depict a medical setting, even referencing the Red Cross in his defense.

The explanation did little to calm the outrage.

If anything, it added a new layer of confusion to an already bizarre episode — one that managed to alienate even parts of Trump’s most loyal base.
