Surveillance footage from a South Florida supermarket shows a bizarre theft that has local police and a family business owner scratching their heads and demanding answers. A man was captured on tape stuffing high‑priced cuts of beef and wine down his pants before fleeing the store, leaving behind stunned employees and a $100 cowboy steak.

The incident unfolded inside Kosher Kingdom in Aventura, where video obtained by Local 10 News shows the suspect browsing the aisles before making his move. He was seen casually placing a large steak and a package of brisket into his pants, which the store owner later described as “big, big, big pants… made for stealing.”

“He came over here, looked around to see if anybody was looking and he shoved it in his pants,” owner Phil Einhorn told Local 10. What he didn’t notice at first was that the suspect didn’t stop at beef — the man also grabbed a bottle of wine and tried to walk out with it tucked inside his clothing.

Employees immediately reacted once they realized what was happening. One worker on break spotted the fleeing suspect outside the store near a Publix and called the police while others chased after him. They managed to recover the stolen items — brisket, steak and wine — before law enforcement arrived, although the suspect himself had already vanished on foot.

Einhorn was left both bemused and frustrated by the incident. “When we found out there was this thing in his pants, it was unbelievable,” he said. The store owner emphasized that theft hurts small, family‑run businesses trying to survive in an environment of rising meat prices and already thin profit margins.

Local law enforcement now has video and a description of the suspect, and they are asking the community’s help in identifying and locating him. No arrests have been reported yet; investigators urge anyone with information to come forward.
