President Donald Trump reportedly exploded in a profanity-laced meltdown inside the Oval Office as new questions about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein closed in, according to Politico.
“They’re going to accuse me of some funny business,” Trump snapped during a tense moment, according to a Republican insider who overheard the conversation. The source said Trump was clearly shaken.
“They’re going to f— me anyways,” Trump reportedly added, furious over the renewed attention.
Trump’s relationship with Epstein, the convicted sex offender who ran a sex-trafficking ring involving underage girls, has been under fire for years. But in recent weeks, the pressure has surged. A Department of Justice memo earlier this month abruptly shut down further investigations into Epstein, outraging many of Trump’s own supporters who were expecting more answers — not a cover-up.
Then came two explosive reports from The Wall Street Journal. The first suggested Trump’s connection to Epstein was much closer than he had admitted. The second dropped a bombshell: Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi told Trump in May that his name was listed in the Epstein files. Yet in June, Trump publicly denied any such warning.
Inside the White House, sources say Trump’s team is on lockdown. Staff have been told not to even mention Epstein unless it goes through top-level approval. It’s a desperate attempt to bury the scandal — but it’s not working.
Even Trump’s usual playbook of distractions appears to be falling flat. On Wednesday, he tried to shift focus by teasing claims that former President Barack Obama might be indicted. But the move landed with a thud, even among Trump loyalists.
Despite his claims that he “maintained his distance” from Epstein’s crimes, the fear inside the West Wing is obvious. Trump isn’t just worried. He’s panicking.
