Donald Trump has predictably reacted to President Joe Biden’s impassioned speech Thursday night in which he called out trump and his extremist MAGA allies for fomenting political violence and for being a threat to American democracy.
Trump took to his Truth Social platform to accuse Biden of threatening to use the military against Republicans.
“If you look at the words and meaning of the awkward and angry Biden speech tonight, he threatened America, including with the possible use of military force,” Trump wildly claimed before adding: “He must be insane, or suffering from late stage dementia!”
Trump also posted a picture of Biden making his speech at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, alongside a picture of himself kissing an American flag. “Someone should explain to Joe Biden,” Trump added, “Slowly but passionately, that MAGA means, as powerfully as words can get, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
“If he doesn’t want to Make America Great Again, which through words, action, and thought, he doesn’t, then he certainly should not be representing the United States of America!” Trump wrote.
During his speech, Biden warned that Trump and Republicans aligned with him pose “a threat to this country” while touting his policy wins on issues like police funding and the pandemic, and contrasted his vision for the nation with the GOP. He also called on Americans to “vote, vote, vote.”
