McEnany Suggests Trump Won’t Take Responsibility If Supporters Get Sick At His Rallies: ‘You Assume The Risk’

While Donald Trump continues to promote his rallies, his supporters are on their own if they happen to get sick while attending.

White House press secretary Kayleigh said on Wednesday that MAGA rally-goers “assume a personal risk” of contracting coronavirus.

“When you come to the rally, as with any event, you assume a personal risk. That is just what you do,” press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said at a news briefing.

McEnany compared Trump’s rally to sporting events.

“When you go to a baseball game, you assume a risk. That’s part of life,” McEnany said on Wednesday. “It’s the personal decision of Americans as to whether to go to the rally or whether not to go to the rally.”

While Major League Baseball hasn’t announced whether it will resume its season, other sports leagues have made the arrangements to resume play – all of them will not allow fans to attend live matches due to the coronavirus. So in that sense, McEnany is lying – again.
