House Speaker Nancy Pelosi fired back at Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Thursday after his interview on Fox News where he claimed he that Facebook will not be getting involved in fact-checking Donald Trump.
According to Pelosi, Zuckerberg “just panders” to Trump just so he can preserve his business model.
“They knew during the 2016 elections that the Russians were engaged in foul play,” she said during a press conference. “They knew because they saw where the money was coming from!”
Pelosi then slammed Trump over his new executive order against social media companies.
“What the president is doing is silly,” she said. “It’s a distraction. I opened this meeting talking about testing, how it’s going to save lives, open our economy, send our kids back to school… We’re talking about Twitter. So let’s get back to saving lives, okay?”
