Former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson is sounding the alarm over the possibility of Donald Trump pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell — and she’s not mincing words.

“There will be an insurrection if he pardons Ghislaine Maxwell,” Carlson said bluntly during a Monday appearance on CNN.

Maxwell, convicted of helping Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse minors, was recently moved to a cushier prison setup. The move has already raised serious red flags. But Carlson says if Trump steps in to help her now, the backlash will be massive — and it won’t just come from the left.

“This would not only infuriate Democrats. Independents, Republicans, and even some of his own MAGA base would be outraged,” she warned. “So I do not advise President Trump to be considering that.”

Carlson also raised doubts about Maxwell’s cooperation with investigators, calling into question the idea that she could be helpful in exposing others in Epstein’s circle.

“With regard to subpoenaing Maxwell as well, I don’t know what we’re going to get from that, to be quite honest,” Carlson said. “I’m not sure that’s paying tribute to the victims because she has lied under oath twice. She’s been convicted of perjury. She knows the only person who can save her at this point is President Trump.”

She added: “So I’m not sure we can believe anything that she says. We should be celebrating the survivors in this situation. They are the reason that we are talking about this story.”

The controversy grew last week when Maxwell was quietly moved from FCI Tallahassee — a low-security prison with fences — to a minimum-security camp in Texas with no fences at all. That type of facility is typically reserved for white-collar offenders like Elizabeth Holmes, not sex traffickers.

Records show that Maxwell wasn’t even eligible for the move under normal rules. Inmates with sex trafficking convictions are supposed to serve time in at least medium-security. But in this case, officials granted her a rare waiver — something prison experts say almost never happens.

Just before the transfer, Maxwell reportedly sat for over a day of interviews, answering questions about nearly 100 individuals linked to Epstein’s vast and shadowy network. Sources say the effort is being overseen by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, with backing from the Trump camp.

If Trump thinks helping Maxwell will win him points, Carlson thinks he should think again. Watch the clip below:
